Millennium Pool Renovates George Mason University’s Competition Pool

Millennium Pool Service recently completed a comprehensive commercial pool renovation of the swimming facility at George Mason University, ensuring it meets the highest standards for competitive swimming. The project began with a full strip of the pool down to the gunite, followed by essential gunite repairs to restore structural integrity. Our team installed two new floating, movable bulkhead dividers, allowing the pool to be easily configured for different events and training needs. To enhance aesthetics and durability, we added new tile work and applied a premium Diamond Brite plaster finish, giving the pool a fresh, modern look that will last for years.

Beyond cosmetic upgrades, this renovation focused on functionality and compliance. The pool was updated to achieve USA Swimming certification, making it suitable for official competitions. We also repaired and modernized the filtration system to improve water quality and efficiency. These enhancements ensure that George Mason University’s aquatic facility is not only visually stunning but also meets rigorous performance and safety standards.
